I present to you, my first set of stat ever in this forum, and the first set of stat ever for a Vietnamese player. I use my first effort to make stat for a player I consider as one of the greatest in Vietnamese football history : Le Cong Vinh.

Born on December 10th, 1985 in Nghe An,Vietnam , Le Cong Vinh is considered to be one of the best striker in Asia. He began his career with Song Lam Nghe An, his hometown club where he played for 4 years from 2004 to 2008, he's already showing big potential during this time. In 2005, Vinh made a huge step forward in his career by becoming a first-choice striker for Vietnam national team after the scandal that sent our best striker at that time, Pham Van Quyen, into jail. Since then he has played a lot of matches and contributed a lot for Vietnam. In AFF Suzuki Cup 2009 tournament, he is the one who score the first goal in the away leg for Vietnam and also the only goal in the return leg which put an end to Thailand's hope and also bring Vietnam toward glory. After that, he received a big offer from T&T Ha Noi and decided to leave Song Lam Nghe An to play for them.

Stat explanation :

Attack :

He has a very good positional sense, if you watch his compilation, you will see that he can find himself good spaces to break through the defence and go on to face the goalkeeper.

Balance :

Although he is short, Vinh is not easily being outmuscled by bigger players. He can fend off the ball while still moving around on the pitch, while a lot of his teammate get beaten easily.

Stamina :

He has good stamina to play for 90 minutes, or even 120 minutes without showing a sign of tireness.

Speed :

Great pace, he uses his pace a lot of time to burst through the defence to score. When he plays on the wing he beat most of the full-back with his speed and acceleration.

Agility:

Very agile, he can turn with the ball pretty fast and simple. One of the key reason why he can get himself some space in the box to make a shot.

Dribbling:

He dribble a lot, even in the center or the wing, and his dribbling is very good too. That's the reason why I give him *Dribbling and good DA & DS, together with his speed and attack it will make him very dangerous up front.

Passing:

Nothing special really, he can put in some good passes but most of them are kinda wayward tbh. The same thing can be say to his crosses.

Shooting:

His best department, he is very very calm in front of goal and can put in very accurate and unbelievable shot no matter how hard the situation is. He score a lot of goals in 1-v-1 situation and I rarely recalled him losing any time at all.

Free kick :

He has scored a few goals from free kicks, but the others are poor.

Header + Jump:

Very decent, giving his height. He has good leaping ability and heading also. Score some very crucial goals using his head (one of them is the only goal in the AFF Suzuki final, watch 3:15 ---> 3:20 in the first compilation, although later he admit he didn't mean it )

Technique :

Showing very good first touch with the ball. Just look at how he controls the long ball after an amazing run. He has also done some tricks on the field so I think he deserves it.

Teamwork :

Although he scores a lot of goals, he is not a selfish player. When there is a teammate in a good position for a goal, he would opt to pass it to him instead of trying to score by himself. He also have a very good understanding with his teammate in general, even when playing as a striker or a winger.

Weak foot accuracy + frequency

Nearly a two-footed striker, his right foot is the strong one but he uses his left foot very well. I have included the clip of his left-foot goal against UAE in Weak foot accuracy or you can watch it from 0:10 ---> 0:15 in the second compilation I post below , and that's not the only goal where he use his left foot.

Special Abilities :

As I said before, he dribble a lot with the ball, so I give him *Dribbling. He also tends to burst forward to break through the defence and that's why he got caught offside many times, that's the reason for *Reaction. *Scoring and *1-v-1 scoring is because he is very calm in front of goal and rarely missed it, you can see that in the compilation as well.
