2. Vào C:\Program Files\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2009\data xoá folder "updates" trong đó rồi copy folder "updates" trong file .rar vào. Đường dẫn như trên là đường dẫn mặc định, còn bạn cài game vào đâu thì copy vào đó.
3. Copy folder Certificates trong folder All User vừa giải nén được vào theo đường dẫn C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Sports Interactive và sau đó copy tiếp folder Certificates trong folder Your Users (cũng vừa giải nén được) vào theo đường dẫn C:\Documents and Settings\*youruser*\Application Data\Sports Interactive, trong đó *your user* là tên user mà bạn sử dụng khi log on vào win.
